Academic Complaints

The academic complaint resolution process typically begins with a conversation between the student and the relevant faculty member. If the student feels their concerns have not been fully addressed, they are encouraged to contact the dean of the academic unit in which the faculty member teaches. This can be done by reaching out to the dean directly via email, phone, or office visit, or by completing the form below. 

If the student remains dissatisfied with the outcome, or if the complaint involves the dean, they may escalate their academic complaint to the Office of the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs by completing the form below.

Submitting an academic complaint via this form does not initiate a formal appeal process under the Student Handbook or University Catalog.
