Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù has received national recognition for its workplace environment, according to survey results released Monday.
The university has been recognized as a Great College to Work For in 2022, as part of the nationwide Great Colleges to Work For program.
This is the ninth time overall that Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù has received such recognition. According to the results from an employee survey and analysis by the Great Colleges to Work For program, Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù is recognized as a workplace that excels specifically in the areas of shared governance and faculty experience.
The Great Colleges to Work For program is designed to recognize colleges that have been successful in creating great workplaces and to further research and understanding of the factors, dynamics and influences that have the most impact on organizational culture at higher education institutions.
The program involves a survey distributed to full- and part-time faculty, exempt and non-exempt staff, and administrators. This year, 212 colleges across the country took part in the program, including 130 four-year universities.
The survey was sent to 400 employees at Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù who were asked to rate the university on a number of workplace-related factors, including job satisfaction and support; diversity, inclusion and belonging; faculty and staff well-being; professional development; and mission and pride, among other topics.
University leaders said they plan to use the survey results to continue efforts to grow a welcoming, responsive and fulfilling workplace for all employees in the years to come.
