Master of Science: Accounting (STEM)

Accounting professionals today are expected to incorporate technology and data analytics in a more robust fashion than ever before.  As these areas evolve, so will the need for trained practitioners.

The utilization of software has significantly surged, enabling efficient analysis of transactions, fraud detection, tax preparation, financial statement analysis, and more within the field of accounting.

According to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA):

鈥淭he accounting profession has changed substantially in recent years as a profession driving and responding to technological change to help businesses compete in an expanding global marketplace. Technology advancements have enhanced accountants鈥 abilities to use and interpret data efficiently and effectively. These professionals have had to acquire new skills to remain competitive.鈥

Designed for maximum efficiency, this 30-hour (10 course) graduate degree has minimal pre-requisites, nine required courses and one elective. 

  • ACCT 4513 Foundations of GAAP Accounting or Intermediate Accounting I & II from a regionally accredited U.S. school with a grade of C or better
  • ACCT 4313 Auditing or successful completion of Coursera鈥檚 online Auditing I: Conceptual Foundations of Auditing Certificate
