Greek Tragedy in Cyprus

About the Program

Dates: June 18 - July 23, 2025

This unique program invites you to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Cyprus’s ancient culture, exploring the stunning landscapes and historical sites. Students will study and live at the University of Nicosia and be directed by Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù Theatre Professor Lance Marsh. The month in Cyprus will be spent in between classes, theatre rehearsals, and cultural excursions to locations like Limassol, Ayia Napa, and Paphos. Students will have an opportunity to perform at the Paphos Ancient Theater! If you're interested, please use to complete your application.

Program Cost: $9,084

Includes:

  • 6 Hours of Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù tuition (2 Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù Theatre courses)
  • Performance at the University of Nicosia Open Amphitheatre and Paphos Ancient Theater
  • University of Nicosia fee
  • Housing at the University of Nicosia
  • Hotel accommodation for weekend excursions and out of Nicosia overnights
  • Guided tour of Nicosia
  • Day and weekend excursions to cultural and historical sites (including guide where appropriate)
  • Entrance/activity fees to sites visited during the trip
  • Airport arrival transfer for those arriving at the designated time 
  • On-site orientation and emergency support from local staff
  • All ground transportation for program activities
  • Welcome and Farewell dinner
  • Insurance for overseas medical expenses, medical evacuation, and repatriation

Additional Expenses NOT Included (estimated): $3,000

  • Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù Application Fee of $75
  • International Airfare (not coordinated through Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù)
  • Passport and/or Visa costs
  • Departure transfer at the completion of the program
  • Personal expenses, travel, entertainment, etc.
  • International Phone Plan (required)
  • Meals (Breakfast included during weekend excursions and out of Nicosia hotel stays)
  • Damage Deposit

NOTE: Non-US citizens may need to obtain a visa to enter Cyprus. Failure to obtain a visa is not a valid reason to receive a refund of program fees.

Important Dates

November 15, 2024 – Applications open. A $75 non-refundable application fee is charged to your student account once the application is received. 

Jan. 10, 2025 – Non-refundable commitment deposit of $500 is due.

March 10, 2025 – $250 refundable damage deposit and final payment of remaining program balance is due.
