Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent enrollment is one of the many opportunities Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù offers to help ensure a successful college career. Enrolling in college courses through the spring semester of your senior year of high school has several advantages. Concurrent Enrollment is not covered under Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù's Tuition Remission program.

  • Earn up to 12 credit hours at a discounted rate of $150 per credit hour*
  • Concurrent students will not be charged the general university fee
  • Experience the pace of college-level courses
  • Open the door to more scholarship opportunities
  • Meet new friends
  • Learn to manage the demands of higher education

To qualify for concurrent enrollment you must have:

  • Must be a junior or senior in high school
  • Strong high school credentials
  • Academic Requirements:
    • 3.5 cumulative high school GPA OR
    • 3.25 cumulative high school GPA and minimum score of 24 on the ACT or 1160 on the SAT

You must submit the following materials to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions:

  1. An official high school transcript. All transcripts must be sent to Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù directly from the issuing institution.
  2. An official ACT or SAT score report if student's GPA is between 3.25-3.49
  3. A completed online recommendation from the applicant's high school principal, counselor or teacher that shows the applicant has the maturity and interpersonal skills to participate in a college-level workshop and live on campus (if required of the program). For Home school students we would prefer a recommendation letter from a counselor - if that is a parent, we would prefer a different academic recommendation.
  4. A completed online recommendation from the applicant's parents endorsing early entrance into college
  5. A completed online statement from the student stating why he/she feels ready for college work before the completion of a traditional high school program (or equivalent home school curriculum**)
  6. A completed online Concurrent Enrollment Application.

*Concurrent enrollment tuition charges are not covered under Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù Tuition Remission program.

***All college hours taken while concurrently enrolled are posted to an official Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù transcript. Some courses may charge additional fees.
