To be considered for the Native Business Academy Scholarship:
- Student must be a Chickasaw citizen.
- Student must meet the OKCU admission requirements as a first-time freshman including a 22 ACT or 1100 SAT (excluding the writing portion) and an unweighted 3.0 GPA.
- Student must major in business.
To complete your application, you must submit:
- A resume detailing your school, work, and volunteer experience.
- Native American Business Academy Scholarship Application (see below).
- Recent picture of yourself doing a service-related project.
- 1000-word essay addressing the following topic:
- How does receiving tribal scholarship support to earn a bachelor’s degree from Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù, Meinders School of Business, allow you to achieve your goals or long term plans?
The Chickasaw Nation has partnered with Meinders School of Business and Å®ÉñÐßÐßÑо¿Ëù to provide a full-tuition scholarship to five qualified Chickasaw students. Scholarship recipients will enter into the Native American Business Scholars Academy and take part in an innovative, highly-engaging academic experience.
Activities include:
- Seminars and workshops focusing on Native American business issues.
- Academic internships and mentorships.
- Networking opportunities with local business leaders.
- Community-service activities.
